Jim McIntosh is
the man who has made the footwear for all the lead actors in
the New Line Cinema trilogy of J R R Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings,
made in New Zealand
Jim is manufacturing
and marketing his own brand of footwear under the Ringstyle
registered name. The styles interpret J R R Tolkien’s trilogy.
Jim has a small footwear factory
and shop at Paraparaumu on the Kapiti Coast, a seaside resort
and commuter town on Highway One, about 55 km north of the NZ
capital Wellington, where Peter Jackson’s Wingnut Films
operation is based.

Jackson was born and raised at
Pukerua Bay, about 10 km to the south of Paraparaumu. He did
his high school years in Paraparaumu at Kapiti College.
